Who do I have to pay for?
Employers need to pay for all employees except casual employees earning less than $450.00 gross (before tax) per month and casual employees under 18 years of age.
What do I have to pay on?
You must pay SG contributions for employees who earn $450 or more in a calendar month. For employees who earn less than $450, are over age 70, or under age 18 and working part- time (less than 30 hours per week), you do not have to pay SG contributions. You may still have an obligation to pay superunder an Industrial Award - check with the relevant Award for details.
When are payments due?
When an employer joins CONNECT, by filling in an Employer Application Form, they are obliged to make payments on a monthly basis. Payments are due by the 14th of the month after time worked, eg, January contributions are due by 14 February.
